Five grounds for divorce in South Carolina
According to SC Law 20-3-10

  1. Adultery
  2. Desertion for a period of one year
  3. Physical cruelty
  4. Habitual drunkenness or habitual drug abuse
  5. One year continuous separation – if the husband and wife have lived separate and apart without co-habitation for a period of one year
